The Orange Bag

I love your lips when they’re wet with wine and red with wicked desire. ~Ella Wheeler Wilcox

Slowly easing back in to Cao’s blog. Slowly, floating back. Not unlike the leaf eddying along a bloated flooding creek, meandering from here to there and back again, no straight decisive line in sight. I miss the morning mental yoga of stretching my mind into a coherent thought. I think I’ve been that way since Joan River’s died. Some feel when countries are war torn we are falling into a world war. I believe the signal of the beginning of a world war is the loss of beloved comedians. Like Sid Caesar, David Brenner, Mickey Rooney, Otto Petersen, Robin Williams, Joan Rivers. Because without laughter we’ve little to pleasure our hearts in this world filled with hatred, anger and abuse. No, I’m sure that can’t be right. I’ve said it all wrong. Perhaps I will tuck this away in gossamer and let it settle in my soul a little bit longer. I think it not done steeping yet.

  1. She was…hysterically funny, and definitely will be missed. But while not with us physically, it’s people like Joan and Robin (Williams) that we will always quote in one way or another, remember something they said and repeat it. Not all is lost, if anything it’s memories that will be passed and shared to those generations that won’t get to experience their humor first hand….but experience in a whole new light. That light? Through the eyes of someone who absolutely adored them. Loved your post Cao, talk to you soon! xoxo

    1. You are sooooo right Alodie! And thank goodness we are in the generation of video. I look forward to those that will arrive in future generations with this charisma of funny. 😀 Have a gorgeous weekend and see you soon! xoxo

  2. I saw a number of Joan’s shows on the TV and she made me genuinely laugh, not just because she put the truth down in an honest and forthright manner but because in spite of all the groundbreaking bravado she was self effacing and felt like a friend. R.I.P.

I'm done inconveniencing electrons, any thoughts? Come on, you know you have 'em, post them up here.
