I know I’ve told this story before, but when you have friends like mine, sometimes you can get away with telling it twice. As you’ve probably guessed, I haven’t always been so brilliant and fashion forward conscious. *cough.* I know my regular readers are aware of my passive-aggressive relationship with Spanx, but that’s just one of my many, shall we say, charms? Another is that I also have friends that, at times, mystify the ‘ell out of me. My posse is fun, and most of them are more “together” than I am, but one friend in particular, Lisa, always makes me feel like I am a fashion genius of the measure of Anna Wintour of Vogue magazine. One day we were shopping for Fall fashions on the sales rack at Kohls and she came prepared having poured through the sales flyer before we got there. Feeling all smart and diva, Lisa walks up to the clerk and asks her where they placed their FoeJay SwaJay (faux suede) jackets that are on sale… I kid you not, floor open up now and suck us both in! Surely everyone has a friend like this? Please don’t let it just be me, because with that comment I had the feeling the snotty clerk was assuming I was of the same ilk so I turned three guilty shades of red.
