Now I Lay Me

When you hold your baby in your arms the first time, and you think of all the things you can say and do to influence him, it’s a tremendous responsibility. What you do with him can influence not only him, but everyone he meets and not for a day or a month or a year but for time and eternity. ~ Rose Kennedy

Now I Lay MeNow I Lay Me Down to Sleep ( a non profit organization whose mission is to introduce remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby with a free gift of professional portraiture. The organization trains, educates, and mobilizes professional quality photographers to provide beautiful heirloom portraits to families facing the untimely death of an infant.  We believe these images serve as an important step in the family’s healing process by honoring the child’s legacy. Here in Second Life I was so deeply moved and honored when a friend asked me to blog their charity event benefitting this fine organization whose sole purpose is to give comfort to families whose children are born with life ending disabilities . All of the NILMDTS items I am wearing in this post give 100% of the proceeds to the real world charity. The event begins tomorrow November 12th, 2014 and ends November 26th, so I hope you will find it in your heart to stop by and purchase something. Just think about it, your purchase could mean a photo for a mourning family. I will even make it easy by including the taxi for you! Please stop by and help.

  1. Beautiful styling dollface. I was so moved when I saw Vera had selected this charity to bring into SL. I am even making my hurt self struggle to style and walk in the show for this event. I will heal these parents will need years to do the same, and it is often the pain we can’t see that is the hardest to bare. So, I agree with you,,,shop til you drop people support this worthy cause and we do our part to leave a lasting memory to someone that has lost so much. ❤

I'm done inconveniencing electrons, any thoughts? Come on, you know you have 'em, post them up here.
