I had a really good “me”centric weekend and feel mentally better than I have in quite a while. Saturday I worked on some of my real life photos, hardly summing up enough momentum to even drop into Second Life for a little bit to shop, so my blogging may be a bit off this week. Sunday was the annual Daytona 500 party that I attend at a friends house. Unlike last year, much to Taylor’s delight, I refrained from dancing on the picnic table. It was such a gorgeous day for an outdoor party that I couldn’t muster much energy to do anything other than chat with friends whilst relaxing under a huge umbrella, warmed with the velvety bright softness of a balmy February day in Florida. This party is one of my favorite events of the year, I don’t know a lick about Nascar, but I enjoy seeing these friends, many of whom I only see about once a year now.
I am beginning to feel a little bit like a loser though. *Spans “L” on her forehead* Crazy thing about this party is there might be a little wagering going on. Nothing requiring mental magnitude, we just draw drivers names out of buckets that have been separated into categories such as “winner,” “First out of Race,” and “Midway leader.” All simple enough for me since I don’t know a lick about the sport. For the second year, I won for having the first driver to crash out of the race. I mean think about it, for the second year the driver I drew was a loser. I can’t decide if I am the unluckiest person on the Earth, or if I am the luckiest loser on the Earth.
Ah well, I don’t suppose it matters all that much because winner or loser, the prize is the same, and will you looky there, mama needs a new pair of shoos! I hope you all have a perfect week!

Thank you Rob, I am East Coast Florida so it’s a sunrise. Florida is a unique place in that you can watch the sunrise on the I ocean then drive an hour and a half and see the sunset on the ocean. 🙂
