Today is the final day of the 2015 Hair Fair in Second Life. I hope you’ve found it in your heart to swing by there and pick up at least a few items, portions of the sale go to the charity Wigs for Kids a charity whose mission statement says, “When Children lose their hair, they don’t just suffer physically. The change in their appearance can drastically undermine their self-image and sabotage their self-esteem. To help heal the pain of these struggles, Certified Cosmetic Therapist Jeffrey Paul founded Wigs for Kids, a nonprofit organization that has been serving children suffering from hair loss since 1981.” How difficult is it to go buy one or two of the items that you wear every single day in Second Life anyway? The hairs aren’t “marked up,” they are being sold at their usual prices with the caveat being a portion is donated to this wonderful charity. Today, on the last day of Hair Fair, in solidarity we remove our hair for these children and wear the bandana’s offered for sale for 50 L’s at Hair Fair. But where’s the hardship when they look this nice? I am wearing mine, are you standing with us wearing yours?
