I put out a call, and my friends showed in force. I like that about my Second Life friends, they are always so supportive. I feel for Canary Beck, I think when she made the promise to match the tips received for todays performance of Romeo and Juliet and to donate them all to the Love Donna Flora event, she didn’t realize just how many wonderful and giving friends I have. I say it all the time, you guys are the rock I build the foundation of my Second Life on and you all rock, Anubis Darkwatch more than most, but hey, that’s just because he is a DJ extraordinaire. He will be spilling the tunes at 4PM SLT tonight at Zenzibar, so if you can, go wear the floor out! Tell him a Lil Cao sent you. As for the play, I LOVED it! I’ve never experienced such a thing in SL, and it was top notch, from the story line, the chat communication, scenes and music. There are only 4 performances left though, so if you get a chance, go see. I know if I can work it in, I will be back for an encore. Love Donna Flora ends at midnight, don’t let it pass you by. I wanted to add here, my friend Morgane Batista has a new set of sequenced two pose, poses animation called “Quitte ou double Pose” set that are perfect for the runway! We already know her curtain poses are the best out there and on these, the sequences are spot on, the poses lovely and smooth shifting. Should I say Insert SQUEEEEAAALLLLL here? Omgoodness I wish she had made these back when I walked the runway, just think about it, no worrying for hours about which poses to do when, she took out the single most time consuming step in preparing for a show! Love her for it! It’s almost enough to make me runway again. um, maybe not. But in all ways, I’d reckon you should give it a gander. In fact I know you will love them so much, I even included the taxi for you! I’m a nice lil Cao like that.

Here it is, Saturday, almost night to me. Most of my Euro-friends are either out or asleep and I am just now getting a blog up. I can’t be too upset with myself though, because today? I lived. I went to the birthday party of two year old triplets and at that age the party-goers are typically adult, 36 adults in all, a mad house full. But nothing brings a person more to life than 3 ego-centric, laughing or crying three year olds. Party is over, I survived with my ovaries in tact (yep, sorry mom, still not doing to reproduce just for you) but not quite ready to join the Second World again. I am tired and somehow I think I still have a little more real life to live. In fact, I think I might still have one last dance to dance before the evening is over. Love is Like the Wind

8000 L’s is the final bid on me for the Love Donna Flora event. The donator wishes to be anonynous, so I will say a Mr. A. Nony Moos won, but if you see me out wandering around with some “arm candy” you will know who he is. I am kind of looking forward to my “date,” someone this generous for a cause can’t be all bad can he? As an aside, my good friend Peep Sideshow is throwing in again. Gad, I love her so much! She is adding 5000L’s to the kitty, so we will be giving 21,000L’s to the Love Donna Flora event. Take from? Yes, of course, the title. I often feel like the Beck song below, “Lost Cause” because I feel like I can stand on the beach with my arms wide, the sun kissing my face, my fingers splayed and wind whispering all about me, lifting my hair and bringing me shivers and so often it makes me think of love. This is how I feel about love, like the wind it whispers softly about me, through my fingertips, touching me but just out of my reach. Love is like the wind, you can’t see it, taste it or touch it and only with faith can it exist. You have to close your eyes, breathe deeply and just feel it moving within you. You just have to believe it’s there. It’s a Friday, so it’s “date night” I hope your night is an amazing one ❤

The Wind Whispering on the Tide

8000 L’s Has been bid on me for the Love Donna Flora event. Today is the last day to “buy” me, well for three hours of time and I’ve decided to match funds with the winner, so if the last bid is 8000, then I will give the 8000, plus my 8000 (16000L) to Love Donna Flora event tomorrow. I was kinda hoping some sugar-daddy would buy me and we’d spend the three hours buying me some shoo’s, but well, doesn’t look like THATS going to happen.. Drat it all… As some of you know, I write. I’ve even let a few critique me before, but I’m kind of stuck. At times I can write for days, weeks, hours, the words just spilling out of me, other times I could throw my head against a wall its so hard. I’ve been doing okay lately, I’m quite a bit in on the story, but when I go back and reread some of the stuff, I’ve the sneaky suspicion it’s all a load of crap. I am in a great deal of angst about writing in the first person, any thoughts? (Tocksin, Nightlake, anyone?) I am going to lay my heart on the ground and give you all the chance to stomp on it. Actually, just a simple it’s too heavy, its ok, or Cao it’s crap, will work. As a note, these writing’s cant be snitched or borrowed, I’ve already vaulted them, so they are mine, not that I think anyone would have use for them. We walk in a desultory manner along the beach, the huge pregnant moon making the evening seem more light than dark. The birds having long since nested for the night, our only music is the crescendo of the waves as they ebb and flow as if mating with the shore. Our hands entwined no words are needed, our hearts sing their own words as if passing the length of one lover’s arm up and through the heart of the other. The angels have come to watch us tonight, their appearance in the cascade of stars twinkling above, vying for our attention, but tonight they will have to wait. As if in mourning, one shutters away and falls as if to impale itself on the Earth.

Slowing our pace, you pull me close in a soft embrace and twirl me about as if we know how to dance but when you look deeply into my eyes, my world stops, you see the secrets I’ve hidden there. All the love, the knowing, it is written there for all to see should they choose to look. Caressing my face, you tug me to you and lick my lower lip, causing my breath to catch at the raspy feel of your tongue. The taste of a lover’s lips, more potent than the finest wine, I am intoxicated on the taste of you.

7500 L’s Has been bid on me for the Love Donna Flora event.My friend and fellow blogger Natalee Oodles of Styleminions ( http://www.styleminions.com) had a heart wrenching blog today. Apparently she and some SL friends and family recently lost a friend suddenly and in her pain she blogged a simple challenge to each and every one of us. She asked us to “challenge ourselves: be thankful and improve.” I can think of nothing more humble than to be thankful for what we have and to improve on those imperfections inherent in each of us. Though I did not know the woman who passed away, I can admire her that she elicits a strong calling from people to gather around reflect and work for the good within each of us. I think of these people as “positive oxygen in a stifling world.” I wish I had met her, I think I would have held her dear, but for now, I will honor her by giving thanks and working on me.

I had planned to touch base on the Love Donna Flora event and it still seems a fitting time. I hope by now you’ve been able to stop by and pick up a few things, there is lots of gorgeousness there, including the scrumptious gown from Baiastice seen in the picture below. The gown has excellent fit (5 sizes) and a simple elegant stylishness, so it is the perfect base piece for most style challenges. The material and lighting give the gown a realistic shimmer bound to draw all eyes directly to you. Most of you would buy a dress like this anyway, so why not buy one that directly benefits our friend Squinternet Larnia as she battles a war with breast cancer? And so you know, I wasn’t given this gown, like most of you, I bought it because I don’t want to cast out cheap words with no sustenance to them. I want to feel what I say.

The take from? Sure, I’ve heard some of you expect it. 🙂 Be a soft light of hope in a garish stifling world. Learn that love is forgiving, forgiving and forgiving again, love is accepting others as they are, not demanding they change, and love is messy, deep, and brilliantly, poignantly painful at times. None of us knows how many pages are in our life story until we turn the last page. Wouldn’t you want your story to bring hope, joy and life to those around when you are gone? I do, so I choose to walk carefully on these sacred grounds while I am here, resolving to uplift that which needs hope, bypass that which brings harm and hold close to all those around me. Thank you Millie Gears and Natalee for reminding me in my walk to remember to focus inward, to be still, to quietly listen, and to breathe. Life is good. Lofty Dreams and Hobby Horses

5000 L’s Has been bid on me for the Love Donna Flora event. A few months ago Mila Tatham of *SoliDea FoliEs* and I were chatting and dreaming about fashion. She is notoriously creative and such an amazing designer, I am so blessed she lets me hang around with her as she creates because her work is simply magic. We were talking about styles we like, and we somehow got to talking about how someone, well, that would be me, loves to where knickers as my main exterior clothing. I am an avid dreamer and often skim through the current fashions looking for ideas to style and to bookmark them I throw them up on my pinterest page. At some point during this conversation, I showed Mila my dream outfit. It’s an adorable knickered outfit created by Ulyana Sergeenko available in the Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2013 line. ( http://pinterest.com/pin/46443439880251663/ ) Mila exclaimed she would make it for me, but knowing how difficult it often is to translate the real world to the sculpts and meshes of Second Life, I figured it probably couldn’t be done. I should have known not to underestimate the determination of a stubborn, creatively talented Mila. She not only created it, she did it perfectly!

I can’t imagine what I did in life to ever deserve the kindness of such an amazing person, I just know I love Mila so dearly. She is one of the true reasons virtual worlds hold so much potential for greatness. Second Life not only serves as a social platform to all nationalities, it fosters growth and creativity among it’s citizens. But whatever becomes of that world, I am forever grateful it allowed me to meet my crazy fun friends in Italy and all of the other wonderful countries where you all reside! You guys are my rock!

Take from? Of course! I’d imagine the concept of creating a virtual world at one time was considered a rather lofty dream and hobby horses are those costumes that have a horse built into the jacket, making it look like the person is riding a horse. Their similarity is at some moment in time, both were just somebody’s dream that have now come to fruition. Life is often hard, sometimes frustrating, but then aren’t the best things in life the things we have worked so hard to achieve? Sure, anyone can dream, but why just dream? Why not make your dreams come true? Who knows? You just might be the next Steve Jobs or Alexander McQueen. Just something to think about. Thank you Mila for dressing up a Lil Cao and making her Second Life a dream come to fruition.

3500 L’s bid for the Love Donna Flora event.I spent the past four days being “educated” in living the life of a six year old. I have to admit, at times the task was daunting, and the final result exhausting, but overall it was an amazing experience. I am not much of a sun person; I tend to keep my beach times to early morning or late afternoon but this little one, she wanted to be in the thick of it from morning to afternoon. So with big floppy hat, long sleeve t-shirt and swathes of SPF a gazillion suntan lotion, I troopered on. I can’t blame her really, do you remember when you saw the ocean with the eyes of a child, rode laughingly, bobbing and eddying like a cork with the waves, or tried to dig your way to China? Me either, it’s been way too long since I cracked my heart that far open (just kidding, I’m still trying to get to China that way). As for the date? Believe it or not, Friday’s “date night” was kind of a gift this week. Jay and I took the little princess to see a movie chronicling the misspent youth of two monster’s friendship while at college. I have to admit, Jay and I kind of resembled some parts of the movie in our own college days, though neither of us are inclined to own up to it. He gets major kudos for this good with kid’s thing, though, for me, it’s more because he can deal with them better than me.

But the dilemma is Dr. Ben Dover (Taylor), he means so much to me, even though it’s admitting my mum may have good taste in men. When I mentioned Jay to him, he graciously said I should at least explore the possibility of seeing Jay further, just to make sure he is or isn’t “the one.” Taylor still calls me, and we go out, he is just patiently waiting for me to make up my mind. What’s wrong with that? Well probably nothing, I just don’t think I could ever be that mature about life and relationships. But for now, we will all three inch our way to whatever conclusion fate will hand us, even if it’s nothing a’tall. As for my six year old ward for the weekend? Her Aunty Cao got the last laugh (in secret, of course). At one point, when her back was to me digging away, I buried a clear, heavy, little glass sea shell in the sand and put a big “X” on the ground over it. When we went for a walk I asked her “what could it possibly be?” To which she smartly responded, “Pirates treasure!” She dug until she found it, smiling hugely at the big shell shaped “diamond.” Later in the evening she remarked she would keep forever the treasure the pirate left behind and one day give it to her own daughter, but then said “well maybe not, I’ll probably keep it for myself.” I had to smile at that one.

Take from? Of course! We all have to mature at some point in our lives, it’s a process of life and is called senescence, but there is a difference between maturity and having the heart of a child. One pays the bills, the other looks with unique newness at the world around them each and every day. A child is innocent and free of judgment. Don’t ever be afraid to live with childlike intent, and certainly know, even when you are OooOOOLLD, it’s still okay to keep something for yourself, just because you want to. Just something light to think about on a high gravity Monday. I hope your weekend was filled with a peaceful light as well! Please don’t forget, I am for sale until Friday, August 9th 2013 at noon!
