This Lonely ViewStyle Kingdom Magazine . Capitol Couture . Photographer: Asia Rae . Models: Caoimhe Lionheart . Federica Galtier .

For the one year anniversary of Style Kingdom, the magazine teamed up with 5th Avenue Model Agency (Both of which I am a proud card carrying member of) for a spread on Capitol Couture. I’ll be honest, I don’t go to many movies, I find them loud and would prefer to sit quietly and speak with the person I am with, not have someone attempt to recreate something I would find much more entertaining in the written form, while ignoring my date. So when the theme was assigned I was at a complete loss. When I don’t know a theme, I like to google images until I find something of interest to work with. Unfortunately this topic didn’t have much variety of images and I was scared everyone would show looking pretty much alike. Eventually I stumbled upon an artist CDCBlanc’s drawings on Capitol Couture and I was instantly in love.

capitol_couture_by_cdcblanc-d4yu07pThis was my inspiration board for my outfit

The thing I want to express, especially to new models, is it’s easy to mash together multiple outfits from designer’s to create a mix and match. If you do this well, it will definitely get you “in the door” of Second Life Modeling, but in all honesty, there are a LOT of models in the door. Besides honesty and a good work ethic, one of the main ingredients to rising above the rest is to have vision. The unique ability to see the possibilities beyond the picture in the vendor. For me personally? Forget the hoopy flounces, I loved carved spaces. So right off the bat, I leaned toward the five dresses on the left of the above drawing. For the carved nature I dug into my inventory for Eshi’s Aria Pompadour. She was apparently before her time, because this outfit alone (below) would be a pretty good rendition of Capitol Couture, don’t you think? But that’s not mix and match is it?

capitol coutureOutfit: Eshi, Aria Pompadour .

The actual photo’s from the movie showed a lot of pastels, golds, blacks, one actress had pink hair, so I decided to keep it in the pink color range. I changed the texture of the hips of the outfit to a satin and recolored it white, the same with the shorts on the thighs and made the centerpiece flower pink to match the shirt I added from Mimikri’s Cami Dress. The time was spent on retexturing the skirt pieces, the rest was just pulling together the details. The gloves are also from Mimikri, the boa is Miamai, Whisper White, the hairs .Ploom. Mookie, hat is *LODE* Glitter Rose ( I THINK it was recolored too but not sure) and my shoos are Nardcotix CHLOE. I guess the point is, find one detail that inspires you, to me it will always be clothes that have a 4 dimensional feel to them, and use the love of this item to inspire you to go beyond mix and match to actual styling, or restyling if you like this term better. If you want to see some really great Capitol Couture, check out volume 5 of Style Kingdom and I have to tell you, there are a lot of styles in there that are much better than mine, so enjoy!

The take from? Yes, there is one. And it’s not even about what I wrote up there. It’s the title. Life is a solitary travel, most of us are born alone and we die alone. Holidays spent alone can be the most devastatingly lonely times a person will ever live through. If you have family, friends, or neighbors, or even acquaintances you know will be alone over the holiday, why not ask them to join you? It may be a small awkward inconvenience to you, but to them it may be a large life affirmingly pleasing moment. If you are alone, and trust me, I have been on several occasions, why not create your favorite meal, heck 5 course meal if you enjoy cooking, play some music and entertain you? I reckon you can even eat it in the dining room, on your best fine china whilst wearing your PJ’s and bunny slippers because this day, this meal, you are the guest of honor. I’ve even been known to put away the food in the pots and pans and clean it all up tomorrow. So for the day, put aside Nancy Neat and just enjoy. I hope everyone has a blessed and thankful holiday season!

Sit Down, Calm Down, and Carry On

Au.Revoir.I’ve used this at times when I am leaving something, it has served me well over the past year.

I have to admit, not doing “anything” yesterday felt pretty darn good. The down side is I have no pictures to include on the blog. And since I shoot on weekends, I won’t blog again until Friday, it kind of feels good though, like I am truly retired and can blog a life of leisure. But today, blog I must and in advance Draakje Dailey and Peep Sideshow, it will be word and peace, because I have a lot to say.

Standing Together We Can Build a BridgeWant to know what a 250,000L dress looks like? This would be it, isn’t it gorgeous? I asked the bidder why on Earth she would pay 1000US for the gown and she responded, “it’s the right thing to do for such a good cause.” I think I touched grace because she had conviction and a soft heart for good. I believe I spoke to an angel

Well, 2Lei planned; the designers, created, hemmed, pleated, and darned; the models coiffed, made up, primped and preened; the auctioneer donned his suit, studied his script and practiced his spiel; and you, the audience, emptied your bank accounts, showed up, and shared. With so many hearts giving to this project, United Nation’s “International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women,” how could it not be anything less than a smashing success? The success? 473,350L’s or approximately 1900US dollars for pixelated artistic creations of Second Life fashion design. We owe it all to you, the kind giving residents of Second Life. First and foremost, thank you!

2013

We also owe it to our designers. Without their creativity, there would be no auction to have, they were: *Chocolat** by Momokaromanomoizu, *LpD* by Nevery Lorakeet, *SoliDea FoliEs* by Mila Tatham, .::Dead Dollz::. by Kiddo Oh, AD Creations by Aliza Karu, Azul by Mami Jewell, {{BSD}} by Babychampagne Sass, C&N Designs by Thor Vespucciano, Chrysalis by Kristine Lowey, DeHat by Dellipop Cresci, Diamond Style by Teyara Mayo, Finesmith by Yula Finesmith, Flighty Pixels by Natzuka Miliandorvic, Gizza by Giz Seorn, HMAEM by Riri Bazar, In-Pose! by Trinity Graves, Kawaii Dolls by Catlyn Sahara, La Malvada Mujer by Faina Cortes, Living Imagination by Bodza Blackadder, Lybra by Lybra Rage, Lyrical Bizarre by Lyrical Bizarre, Orage Creations by Elletra Gausman, Prism by Journey McLaglen, Pure Poison by Shaleene Kenin, Romance Couture by Elseren Briana, Sascha’s Designs by Sascha Frangili, Shiki by Shinichi Mathy, Vero Modero by Bouquet Babii, Violator by Soraya Vaher, and last but not least (these were in alphabetical order) Zanze by Zzoiezee. Without your help we would not have a 473,350 linden donation and thank you for creating the unique item for this project. Your support can not be replaced.

The Trouble With Retiring is You Don't Ever Get a Day Off ~ Abe LemonsMy friend Isoldel created the pose and picture of the women helping a woman for our stage, isn’t it wonderful? Thank you Iso!

The auction could have gone on without models and the auctioneer to steer the bids, but I seriously doubt it would have as much success. Seeing the art in “living” form brought the creations to life. These people selflessly gave up four grueling, chaos filled (trust me, I know. I was exhausted) hours of their life for this cause. So first to our auctioneer Orian Wirefly, thank you. I think you could sell a Sherman tank to my gramma and we love you for it, I can’t tell you how many people IM’d me and told me they wanted to take you home with them. To the models who participated, I just love you all. It was chaotic at times, some of you were given multiple outfits until we got it all right and you acted professional through it all. You showed up, were patient and I know you had to be as tired as me half way through, but not a single person complained. So thank you to: Anna Sapphire, Averil Resident, Calima Dufaux, Chevia, Danity Mynx, Dax Dover, Draakje Dailey, Ekaterina Tolczyner, Eleseren Brianna, Eva Luxuria, Gloria Silverstone, Ivyana Szondi, Jessicaann Wrigglesworth, Kestrel Sorrowsong, Kiana Lexenstar, Leezahkaddour Resident, Linnda Scofield, Lola500 Magic, Payton Heron, Rhonda Pennell, Roxaane Fyanucci, Sienna Bellios, Silly Avro, Sungyoung Jang, Sylphia Constantine, Trinity Graves, Tyra Eiren, Yashi Audion, and Zionp Resident. You guys are my rock and I was honored to have worked with each of you. (please Lord, if I left anyone off, let them know it wasn’t intentional). ❤

inflight

And finally, on this, my last project before retirement from modeling and *SoliDea FoliEs*, I can’t think of any people I would rather have finished with but the next three I wish to thank. People don’t realize, I was really just a face, I showed up, blogged a little and that was about all of my participation, it is these three who deserve all the kind comments I’ve received. First of all my best friend in both worlds, my little dragon Draakje Dailey, who has been my savior since my first days of modeling three and a half years ago. I don’t know how it happens a little dragon takes a little cow under her wing and it’s been a long and at times rocky road, but I’ve loved every minute of it because of you. Draakje used her typical professional and excellent organizational skills to keep the models in-line and informed. And with the numerous changes in model availability, shuffling of outfits and designer issues, let me tell you, she has the patience of a saint. I’d like to thank Bodza Blackadder for her work with the designers, passing out information on deadlines and dates; you worked very hard to make this the grand success it was. Because I know personally (Mila) how hard it can be to pin down designer’s at times, they live with their heads dreaming in the clouds. And last, but in no way least, I can think of no one I would rather work with than my beloved Mila Tatham. It was my second 2Lei with Mila (and Draakje) and though at times stressful for us all, Mila kept us all focused on the good of this project, the reason for it. To stand for these women who needed us, these mothers, sisters, friends, strangers, family members, all women who through no fault of their own find themselves at the hands of abusive partners.

The take from? Sure, we can sit now but let’s not stop. Help one, empower just one woman and you could change their world forever. Violence against women is not inevitable, violence against women and girls can be systematically addressed, reduced and, with persistence, eliminated. We may not be able to save the world, organizations like the United Nations, with our help, they can do that. But we can save just one and just think how much safer the world would be if we all help just one victim. I kinda like the thought of that.

Standing Together We Can Build a Bridge

Standing Together We Can Build a BridgeOutfit is the One of it’s kind outfit that will be auctioned at Salimar and was created by Mila Tatham of *SoliDea FoliEs* and will be worn by Caoimhe Lionheart, the Lil Cao

November 25th, according to the United Nations, is the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women”. The United Nations Development Fund for Women estimates that at least one of every three women globally will be beaten, raped, or otherwise abused in her lifetime. For them, we choose to stand up. We will stand, not because it is a popular thing to do, we stand because it’s the only thing we can do; these are our sister’s, mother’s, girlfriends, acquaintances, women, human beings. They are even some of us. The designers and models of Second Life will stand to be heard, support, embrace, and raise up these women November 23, 2013. We will let the victims, and their abuser’s, know we won’t turn our back on them, or cover our eyes, we are here and we care. Violence against women and girls is not inevitable. Prevention is possible and essential.

Zappo’s sells Sh-t and Kanye’s Full of Crap

Zappo's sells Sh-t and Kanye's Full of Crap

That’s what I call a match made in heaven. Unless your Kanye West of course. Notorious loud mouth Kanye West podcasted that “Zappo’s sells Sh-t product” but it seems Zappo’s got the last laugh. This is the magic of agile viral marketing. It seems when Mr West assumed he was going to go all Kutcher vs. Walmart, ( http://finance.yahoo.com/blogs/the-exchange/ashton-kutcher-vs-walmart-173543025.html ) he forgot the mission statement of the Zappo’s brand, “to provide the best customer service possible.” So if a customer wants “Sh-t Product,” by golly, they are going to sell it to him. ( http://www.zappos.com/zappos-com-gear-sh-t-product-sh-t ) And at $100,000 each it’s right in his price range. The point? Well other than the humor, I suppose it’s be careful what crap you choose to “let loose” with on the Internet because you just might find you aren’t quite as popular as you think you are and well, then your day is generally down the toilet. I’d like to tell him, “if you’ve got nothing nice to say, don’t say anything a’tall,” but don’t worry, he ain’t listening anyway, you “Can’t Tell Him Nothing.” Anyway, what happened to Kanye? That’s the power of karma for you.

Zappo's sells Sh-t and Kanye's Full of Crap I would have bought these shoos from Zappo’s if I didn’t insist on paying full price! 😉

Have a slow sliding Thursday, because the weekend is right around the corner.. Don’t forget 2Lei, Saturday November 23rd at 2:30PM SLT. It benefits the United Nations “The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women” and I hope to see you there.

Semantics of a Second Life Relationblip

Semantics of a Second Life RelationblipHair: Vanity Hair, Sunset Blvd . Earring: [Mandala], Nyorai .

Wingin’ it free form today, so be patient with me. And I know, I know, looks like a typo in the title, but is it really? I was catching up on my friends FB comments yesterday and my friend Rico Mar ( http://csltm.wordpress.com/ ) asked about the brisk pace from birth to death of most Second Life relationships. As most of you know, much to the deep angst of my grandmotherly’s clock ticking mother, I’ve long suffered from a real life rather chronic disease known as “Relationship ADD.” Until recently, I’ve just never had the skill to focus on one guy long enough for it to be considered an actual relationship. Heck, I’ve been on so many blind dates at this point I kinda prefer to be out with the seeing eye dog. Unfortunately, it would take about 25 years of lying on a couch with a therapist to figure out why and we all know, in reality, it would actually take a life time for me, because the last time I found myself on said couch when the good doctor asked a question, I in turn, always the polite child, would answer with a question. You know the conversation, “and Cao, how did that make you feel?” after much deep reflective thought (trying to figure out what I wanted to eat for dinner) I’d answer, “well hmmm, Gee Dr. Brain, I don’t know. How would that make YOU feel?” At the end of the session, we agreed to back off from the restraining order’s and just agree to not appoint again. But I digress, back to Rico’s question, I have to admit, though I would never consider a cyber relationship, I do have to admit I have, at times poked fun at the swiftness of their demise. Don’t get me wrong, yes, I know, so many of you did find the “ONE” and have been together for years, but dimes to donuts, I’d say 97% of them are an epic fail. ‘ell, most seem to end about a month or so after the wedding ceremony. ‘Course that kinda makes sense, I’d reckon a month is probably about equivalent to a real world seven year itch, either that or equivalent to wearing wool pants with no knickers, those kind of relationships tend to chafe mighty hard. Kinda brings to mind that Wynonna Judd song “Is it Over Yet?” Looky there, a rare country music reference from a admitted hard-rocker girl. Even I don’t know where this chit comes from sometimes, I just know I’ve been on enough dates with that particular song a resonating ear worm playing over and over in my ‘ead. In fact, so much so, I get to card carrying use it in a blog post. But hang with me here, just a minute or so longer, because I did some watching and thinking.

Semantics of a Second Life RelationblipOutfit: *LpD*, Chica Dress . Watch: [Mandala], Hokusai . Necklace: [Mandala], Onigiri .

And its going to go like this and don’t get me wrong, I know relationships end for a myriad of reasons and these are generalizations, or Cao-ism’s if you will, but I’ll just throw them up here as something to think about. The first and probably most significant lesson in a relationship is to seek clarity. Here you are making plans to meet, he agrees, and a couple days before he changes his promise and says he can’t make it. I’d bet the first reaction of most is to stew on it a second and a half and then to snap back at him (or her). Or, for those quick enough to seek clarification might say, “What do you mean you can’t meet me then?” Well, yeah, thats seeking clarity, but it’s kind of aggressive and accusatory, don’t you think? After a time, and missed opportunites are bound to happen often whilst straddling a real life with a second one, this could become one of those wool chafing kind of mood killers. If you’re worried they are cancelling because they are drifting away from you, because this is the behavior your last partner exhibited before they said adios, when you ask why they are cancelling, explain why knowing is important to you. Sometimes humbly seeking the answer is the most loving thing you can do for another person, because you are letting them know you trust them, you are just confused because at first they agreed.

2013Don’t for get to stop by November 23rd at 2:30PM SLT! ❤

The next two thoughts are more subtle but can be handled nicely together. Though it’s a little harder to do online, watch your partner as if the speakers on your computer don’t work. Sure it’s easy to hear the words coming out of someone’s mouth. We all have them, and most can use words quite effectively, but step back and listen to what’s NOT being said. I believe we are conditioned from early child to love people and things, so much so that to most of us we don’t even have to memorize that particular line of the play, it rolls off our tongues easier than our own names. But look into the little spaces of silence, it’s these subtle cues, the discrepancies between what is being said and what is actually being done, those little details are what clarify how the other person really thinks or feels. And switched to you, stand back and watch yourself in this drama. Sure, we get it, you two have so much in common, you get along great, but are you holding back, passing by opportunity’s to do nice little things for the person? Passing by them, not because you didn’t think about, more because you couldn’t be bothered right then? Your mouth maybe saying one thing, but subconsciously that inner goddess, she might not be as sold on this partner as your brain is so before you make that adrenaline rushing leap, perhaps you should slow down and save yourself a lot of future heartache. (Trust me, I know this one personally in real life).

The take from? Yep, long winded but it’s here. I think I just heard some “praise the Lords” and “Halleluiah’s” up in here, thats my Peep Sideshow and Draakje Dailey, I always hear a collective sigh from them when I ramble on into Word and Peace. But the take from is this. I hear a ton of it’s his/her fault and what he/she did to me’s, but face yourself, even you have to own up to your .0009% because never are these failings 100% someone else’s fault, even on those times when the other cheats (that would probably be the .0009% your fault scenario). Think about it this way, if relationships all had a 100% right to a 100% wrong proportion to them then there would be zero successful relationships. Just thought I’d throw these up here for what ever they’re worth to you, and who knows? If you “get” it perhaps the next time your relationship wont turn out to be a major relationgip ( http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Relationgip ) Ah, I know, it was a stretch for me too, but I hope it at least cured your insomnia.

The Trouble With Retiring is You Don’t Ever Get a Day Off ~ Abe Lemons

Cao!

Everyone wants a last hoorah, right? Some of you might remember I blogged over the summer the winds they are a changing and vowed to blog less, Second Life even less? Well, these last few weeks it settled in my soul, it is time. Please, don’t ever think this a “someone did something to some else and it caused a ton of drama,” this isn’t the case. I am just tired; I actually retired from modeling in 2012 after Miss Virtual World. But, as things have it, I get involved in “causes” and then “friends” and then some other this or that, so here I am fingers still working it two years later. So Saturday November 23rd at 2:30PM SLT, I am officially retired. I want to simply blog, not daily, just every once in a while, when I think I have something worth saying. And I would never quit speaking about those things, like Relay for Life, Wigs for Kids, or 2Lei, I am just taking a slower pace at being a part. We’ve already found an excellent new manager for *SoliDea FoliEs*, so if you get a chance please welcome my good friend and excellent fellow blogger/model Absinthe Montenegro http://absinthemontenegro.wordpress.com/ to the *SoliDea FoliEs* family. Mila and I talked long and hard about this decision and we both feel she fits each of us comfortably, just like a long lost sister.

The Trouble With Retiring is You Don't Ever Get a Day Off ~ Abe Lemons

But the important part starts here, the last hoorah. What better way to retire than to end it with one of those beloved causes? Let’s make this a memorable event for a tired Lil Cao. Will you all come and be a part with me, for me? Take pictures and laugh with me? I hope so because this event has deep personal meaning to me, I am/I was at one time, one of the three. The United Nations Development Fund for Women estimates that at least one of every three women globally will be beaten, raped, or otherwise abused in her lifetime. For them, I choose to stand up. I will stand, not because it is a popular thing to do, I stand because it’s the only thing I can do. Stand, be heard, support, embrace, and raise up these women. Let them know I won’t turn my back on them, or cover my eyes, I am here and I care.

November 25th, according to the United Nations, is the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women”. Since 2010 this event has been celebrated in Second Life with a great show lasting about one week (approximately November 18th to November 25th), organized by the committee “2Lei in Second Life”, an artistically minded compassionate group of citizens, they are about us: http://secondlife2lei.blogspot.it/p/blog-page_24.html . And now is the time, we need you to throw in too. At 2:30 PM SLT November 23rd, 2013 Salimar Luxury District, the designers of Second Life, and some of Second Lifes best models have put together one of a kind auction of unique clothes and art and a resident driven photography contest. The designers have stepped up, the artists have also. There is a wonderful photography contest going on as well, if you would like to participate, please contact Elettra Gausman for details.

Romance CoutureDesigner: Romance Couture . Model: Eleseren Brianna

On Salimar, we are going to have a one of a kind, unique, or unique color, single quantity auction item provided by the generous designers listed below, worn by some of the best Second Life models and an auctioned showing of artists original artwork on our sister SIM VIOLATOR with the proceeds from both auctions donated to the United Nations Foundation Fund for UN Women to do our part to help the United Nations reach these battered women. It doesn’t take a lot to help. As an example, just 10USD helps 6 women survivors of violence receive psychosocial counseling in countries across Africa and Asia. (http://www.unfoundation.org/how-to-help/donate/fund-for-un-women.html) Violence against women is not inevitable and it can be eliminated. Please help us to take a part.

Deep Thoughts in the Shallow End of My Mind

Deep Thoughts in the Shallow End of my MindHair: Dura, Girl51 **New* . Jewelry: Alienbear, Almas II .

I don’t normally do these kinds of things, but Strawberry Singh got me to thinking about it on her blog, so I thought I’d give it a go.

1. Regardless of your current number, how old do you actually feel? – I have always felt, and I suppose acted a lot younger than I am age-wise, but through life experience and always being a thinker and watcher, I have often been told I have an “old soul.” I think it’s just I am more of a mellow person than most, not prone to extremes in anything, but if they want to call me one, I’ll wear it. Being thrown into menopause prematurely has offset my physical quality of life a bit and my spiritual identity, since I’ve had to rethink my future but emotionally I am probably still that neurotic, confused relationship-ly challenged Cao I’ve always been. Don’t believe me? Just ask Dr. Ben. In the words of my mother, “the man is a saint!”

2. Which is worse, failing or never trying? Never trying, failings are the linchpins that hold together the links of our successes. Neither is mutually exclusive. It is seldom that we get things perfect the first time and the failures along the way give us the understanding and ability to thrive on the successes.

3. If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently? – I don’t think I would change much at all. I think I would probably appreciate “moments” more, breathe a little deeper, love a little harder and learn a little more. Oh and start researching cryogenics. 😉

4. Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things? I’d like to think I was raised to do the right thing, being fair and ethical is a deep part of my psyche. To me integrity is doing the right thing without expecting anyone to know I did. But I always try to do things right as well, I know when I am having issues in SL and my photographs are crap, I feel pretty crappy posting them.

5. Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton? – I hate to say this, but it’s been said I am the “g” word and feck it all, I do worry sometimes about things like unwritten words (they always come in the middle of the night when I try to sleep) and unsolved problems. But would I want to be a joyful simpleton? Probably not. It’s all these quirks and nuances that make me who I am and a large part of that is my love affair with knowledge, especially words. At this point, I’ve lived with me so long I can find happiness in my quiet seriousness.

6. Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend? – This question caused me a moment’s pause actually. Have I been the kind of friend I want as a friend? Yes, definitely. I am bookish and solitary and a bookish and solitary person would make an excellent friend. But I think the question is intended have I been the kind of friend most friends would want me to be and then I’d have to admit, probably not. As an introvert I probably don’t friend too well. Don’t get me wrong, I love and adore so many people, but the close ones, there aren’t too many of those.

7. Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset? Does it really matter now? – This has been one of my mantra’s in any Second Life drama and I’ve commented about it on several occasions. It’s this: If you are angry about something, so angry you want to rant and rave, put it to the test before you open your mouth. Is it something you will care about 3 months from now? How about 5 years? Better yet, when you are 60, is it a big deal then? If not, let it go, life is too short to be buried under hate.

8. At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive? – The moment in time, the millisecond it takes to share a wordless look between lovers, you know the one, where they gaze so deeply in your eyes, the brief moments connection where there is no you or I, just one heart beating betwixt you? It’s the moment you know you are no longer looking for love, love is all there is. That is living passionately.

9. If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job? – Would I quit working all together, I couldn’t possibly, my brain would suffocate, my hands have to be busy, I crave to create. But, I actually would quit my job and work strictly on my “part time” job, writing. Writing is my passion.

10. If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today? – I wouldn’t want to know, I just wouldn’t want to know. I hope I visit these people, or speak, or correspond with them enough now so they know I love them. But if there was a finality to life, let it pass with my head in the clouds because the anticipation of the tragic moment would mar, darken the final meeting to some unrecognizably, grotesque visage of what our relationships were.

11. What do you feel is the difference between being alive and truly living? – Being alive is simple, you eat, breathe; simply consume a space in an environment. In truly living you live with all of your senses. You taste the stars, feel the music, smell the nuances of love, you hear the smile, the whimsy, of the things around you, and your eyes behold the hearts of those about you.

12. If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake? – I think being afraid to make a mistake is a societal (mis)cue. When we are raised by doting parents and though the norm, it is not necessarily the wherewithal. Some of the greatest parents in the world have the intuitive sense to let their children fail, (and in my case, oft fail miserably). They choose to not “help” them all the time, to overly protect them from life or censure, so their children learn to accept they will sometimes fail and when they do, they learn from the mistake. For the love all, please realize, letting both teams win is not helping children, it creates a false sense of expectancy. Because honestly, I believe, the most important thing a parent can teach their child is to teach them not to need them (the parent).

13. What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you? – I’d be more me and less me at the same time. Heck, I reckon I need to keep it right there.

14. If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be? – Learn everything and anything you can, because intelligent knowledge can solve problems, create peace, teach compassion and move worlds.

Take from? Yes. That was most definitely Cao’s Word and Peace, as my little dragon likes to call it. But seems to me today it’s allowed because the totally cool Strawberry Singh (http://strawberrysingh.com/ ) said so and I figure that makes it all okay. Have a wonderful week!
