Andy Goldsworthy was once quoted as saying, “Snow provokes responses that reach right back to childhood.” I’ve never seen snow, but I can tell you, the thought of it sure makes me think of childhood. I don’t know why, but I supposed its because it conjures up every single Christmas cartoon, movie, greeting card, and gingerbread house I’ve ever seen. I think today’s blog is simple. In all the stress and hustle and bustle of the holiday season, always take a moment, stop, take a big breath and just simply smile and be merry. But most importantly, share that smile and merriment with someone who really needs it. Now THATS the reason for the season, Peace on Earth and Goodwill.

I oft wonder if it would be amazing to be one of those really famous people? You know the ones, not these current hollywood types who make their names by being more and more outrageously bad in behavior. No, I wouldn’t want to be known for anything like that, they are all too generic these days. I mean someone who 35 years after his death, if you saw a picture of him, or even just a pose, you’d know that’s Charlie Chaplin! I can’t say I’ve ever even seen one of his moving pictures honestly. But he has been often imitated, just because of his “face value.” I just wonder, do you think its possible to live right, be honest and kind and still be famous? Or has notoriously bad replaced famous in modern culture? Hmm, sad, but seeing how many in Hollywood act, perhaps it has. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if most of the movies we are force-fed these days were the silent type? Not a soapbox comment, just a quiet observation.

As an aside, Shay Sibrian and Jade Art of Celoe are just amazing at making mesh products, especially jackets. Even though I do not blog them all, I do wear them. I think I have bought them all in fact. If your looking to update the winter wardrobe, its a great place to check out! I.Drift.

The beginning of last week started out kindly, the days were warm and balmy, the cicadas serenaded me with their loud singing and the days mellowed into a lighter evening. Weeks like that, I love a gorgeous strappy “Lazy Sunday” sundress. Kallisto Destiny of Drift just released a pretty and chic set in multiple styles. Comfy and roomy the skirt flows softly as you walk, perfect for a lazy day spent out doors exploring, wetting the toes and enjoying the sun. SLURL under the “last knowns” page.

Sometimes, not often, but sometimes, Sundays in Second Life are difficult for me. Every time I try to complete a task, I am interrupted. Not a bad interruption, I rarely mind speaking with friends, it just seems like everyone contacts me on the same day or time. After trying to snap some pics, and chatting at the same time, I finally gave up on the pics and shouted “uncle.” Putting away the camera, I snuggled up in my most comfortable clothes and let the conversations and friendships encompass me. Life is good. Especially when wearing a soft and fuzzy “Cozy Sweater Dress” from Drift.

Available, right now, at Gizza’s is this limited edition scrumptious gown, “Chicago Blues.” It harkens to a bluesy, jazzy time where the men were gentlemen and the women were elegant arm candy. The front of the bodice is silver sequined, the skirting a softly feminine satin and taffeta all delightfully bowed up like a prezzy in the back. Now all I need is to find a gentleman. Figures.

As an aside, the makeups at Zibska are positively glam, very in line with the makeups currently being worn in the fashion rags, so if you get a chance go check them out, they have clothes, hairs, jewelry, you name it. Simply gorgeous.

I dance most of the days of the week, what can I say? I love Second Life, I love all the residents who contact me when I log in, I love the ones who do not because they are too busy working on their creative endeavors. You are all so amazing, gifted, funny and always so very nice! For this, I thank you! No blog today, it’s a casual weekend for me, a three day weekend no less, so I may wander away a bit. I just wanted to wish you all a gorgeous and peaceful weekend, and enough time in your day that you can free your mind of all cares and worries, and just dance, even if only in your heart.
