Let face it, Florida gets cheated. We don’t have seasons. We don’t have snow. We don’t have mini-vacations in the midst of the school year drudgery due to “snow days.” Bummer. When I was young I used to dream about how fun it would be to ditch school and play in the snow. Those children up there have it made. But I suppose these days, now older and without the need to purchase a coat or to feel the effects of the lack of sunshine, I’ve come to terms with what is lacking in my life. Flipside, I can walk along the beach in the winter wearing a pair of shorts and windbreaker. That should mean something right? Yes, it should mean something and it does. But drat it all, just once I’d love to flop back in the snow and make a snow angel.

I love Second Life modeling. I love the playfulness of the outfits, I love how a look can be so completely different from one model to another, depending on their style preferences. Tolerance is the Only Way.

Homophobia is a disease that has caused more deaths than HIV through history. Hate crimes occur every day worldwide and victims are people whose only crime is to have different preferences. It is incomprehensible that even today there are more than 10 countries that punish homosexuality with jail, some of them with life imprisonment and another 5 countries still punish homosexuality with the death penalty. Fortunately the homophobes are a minority, but the struggle for tolerance and inclusion is just beginning and we must all do our part to build a better world for future generations.

Four shows showing unique designs created by the incredible designers of Second Life and modeled by some of the best runway models in Second Life. Once the fashion shows are over an exhibition will be opened where the designs will be shown for a week. I know, I know, right? But do I always have to make sense? It makes perfect sense to me, thats what matters right? Was kind of too mellow today to do much of anything blog-wise. I was reading the really ugly things on “Agency Report” (I won’t include a link) I don’t agree with the premise of a site built to denigrate hardworking fellow models, agencies, or people at all. A site that allows one person to bad mouth another really grates my docile Cao nature. Isn’t it more productive to honor other people and create a world of light, not dark? Lighten up people! It’s only a Second Life! hehe and thanks a lot Isoldel for making me even look. I haven’t peeked over at the site since last year. –.–

Just a micro-blog today. First and foremost a shoutout and huge thank you to my dear and beautiful friend Spartin Parx for the really cool “Mouse” mask. I was truly digging it when I saw it in a photo in this months Vogue and then logged in and you had left the present in my inventory. So awesome, you creative people in SL just amaze me no end! So today is a blog plugging all my friends, the one’s I’ve met, and the ones I haven’t met, yet, and to all of you designers, photographers, models, avatars, just everyone! As Torley would say “You are awesome!” Omgoodness I think I just “dated” my avatar by mentioning I went to Torley Lindens SIM (circa 2007). O.o I am taking a little bit of time off. I dance most of the days of the week, what can I say? I love Second Life, I love all the residents who contact me when I log in, I love the ones who do not because they are too busy working on their creative endeavors. You are all so amazing, gifted, funny and always so very nice! For this, I thank you! No blog today, it’s a casual weekend for me, a three day weekend no less, so I may wander away a bit. I just wanted to wish you all a gorgeous and peaceful weekend, and enough time in your day that you can free your mind of all cares and worries, and just dance, even if only in your heart.

Last day of vacation, Last suitcase. The week flew by, rested and knowing a certain Little Dragon friend, Draakje Dailey is having a birthday tomorrow, (Hint: I am sure she would LOVE a gazillion IM’s of well wishes!) I knew I needed to shop! Okay, so I’ll find any excuse to shop.The secret to productive shopping is look glam while staying comfortable and all three of these outfits definitely fit the bill. The first is an adorable sundress from Maitreya, scrumptious in color, sleeveless with a gorgeous beading neckpiece.

The second choice is a transition outfit, one of those adorably chic outfits thats a perfect style for running a few errands before meeting up with friends for drinks or dinner. When tropical it is perfectly acceptable, in fact probably expected, that shorts are elegant enough for evening wear, especially when topped with the sophisticated top, both purchased at Kungler’s. I completed the outfit with one of the many choices of top rated jewelry available at Kungler’s extra.

The third shopping, “must have” is this linen sundress from Chantkare. Living in the south, in a tropical climate, linen has always been a mainstay of my year round attire. and face it, it dresses up and down equally well. Because here is a simple sundress that is the epitome of chic elegant with the gathered skirt hem and since it is available at The Couturier’s Dock, it’s already 50% off! But if you waited too late, it might have sold out, but you can check out the other designer’s offer’s still available. Such as the beautyful “Caoimhe” makeup I am wearing from LovelyMi! I Never Saw a Purple Cow;

It’s always a milestone when a business in Second Life last’s for any length of time, sometimes it’s hard to be noticed on a city sidewalk, let alone somewhere out in cyberspace, so Chic Management deserves a huge congratulations! They have reached the two year milestone! To celebrate, they decided to let US have the “perks.” The Chic2 venue is a small “grass roots” event that will be ongoing from June 3rd to June 25th, 2012. The great thing about small is there isn’t a lot of moving about to do. I am sure you all have been to those huge laggy Behemoth’s where you crash more than buy? When I checked out the venue on Sunday, I didn’t even have to move, I just panned my camera around perusing from a stationary position, buying and picking up things as I went along. The best part of the event? Of the almost 150 designers, each brand will have one new and exclusive item with a Chic theme. So dust off those stilettos, carry a huge carry-all and go get some of these unique, must have items! It’s going to be fun, I’ve even called the taxi for you: Taxi:

No big secret, I just love Poulet Koenkamp of Purple Moon Creations, having worked with her several times through the past year, but honestly? Any friendship aside, I love Purple Moon because the clothes are consistently of good quality. This outfit, “Chica” is the offering for the Chic2 event and I chose to show off the outfit in purple. The pants are a wool blend with six button detailing and the top, is a sleeveless and summery, loosely fitting tube. This is the perfect outfit for a day with friends or shopping. Chic styled and simply perfect.

Since it is a purple flavored day, my second outfit is from Koketka, the “Sara” dress. What an adorable dress this is! Filled with enough playfulness it makes me want to go out and enjoy the sunshine, hiking or sightseeing with friends. The mini is softly form-fitting, and delightfully shouldered on one side only. Perfect for a younger up and coming hip crowd event.

In my first style I am wearing the Chic2 events Je Suis “Aveugle” blindfold, it really should be called a blingfold with the gorgeous diamonds encrusting the band, beautiful enough to allow any diva a restful night! Throw on a silky robe from Tomoto, a designer also at the Chic 2 event and it is simply chic glam. Just perfect for those nights in, with a bottle of wine and a foot message, don’t you think?

This second outfit, “Delice” is from Tomoto as well! It is adorable and frilly, and sweetly romantic. At the same Chic2 event, I found the gorgeous Chloe honeycomb earrings and ring, so one stop shop and styling done!
