Available, right now, at Gizza’s is this limited edition scrumptious gown, “Chicago Blues.” It harkens to a bluesy, jazzy time where the men were gentlemen and the women were elegant arm candy. The front of the bodice is silver sequined, the skirting a softly feminine satin and taffeta all delightfully bowed up like a prezzy in the back. Now all I need is to find a gentleman. Figures.
As an aside, the makeups at Zibska are positively glam, very in line with the makeups currently being worn in the fashion rags, so if you get a chance go check them out, they have clothes, hairs, jewelry, you name it. Simply gorgeous.
I just can’t believe there is about one more week of summer here. Where did it go? After rain nearly every day this summer, you would think I would be tired of it and ready for the fall, but with two hurricanes heading my way, I can’t think about it yet. But honestly, I do prefer autumn at the beach. We have a brief respite in time when the tourists go home after Labor Day (first week of September) and the Snow Birds flock in for the winter (January). I don’t care for the snow birds too much. I live in such a tiny place, the added “weight” of them makes you think your ground will sink into the sea.
But right now, I love to take long walks along the beach with my Jack Russell Terrior-ist “KT” (her spelling not mine), chat with my friends the sandpipers and while away the day. The above pic is a sneak peek of the upcoming Trend Magazine, “What’s in the Bag” column I have with my dragon, super-model Draakje Dailey. What better way to enjoy the last vestiges of summer than while wearing Leezu’s “Boho” Bikini in teal? This chic little bikini comes complete with the matching sarong and adorable flower petals that tickle the stomach when the wind blows. The hair is Lelutka and the cute sombrero is LaGyo. Really, what more does one need for the beach?

HOPE FOR EMILIA is an exciting event that will last from July 22 to August 9, 2012 and will include a Summer Fashion Fair, fashion shows, an art expo and entertainment events to fundraise for the victims of earthquakes in Emilia, Italy. My first blog of this event, I wanted to show you three of the summer sundresses being sold exclusively at the event. I purposely kept the accessories, hair and pose the same, because in the end, for this project, it’s not about the model, or the picture, but about the exclusive items you can purchase. Please note, 100%, yes, 100% of the proceeds of the sale go to the Emilia victims.
As most of the world is aware, the northern region of Italy has been hit by devastating earthquakes during the last several months. The first earthquake, registering a magnitude of 6.1, struck in the Emilia-Romagna region, on May 20th of 2012. Two aftershocks with a magnitude of 5.2 occurred a few hours after the main event, and seven people were killed. Nine days later, on May 29th, an additional earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 struck the same area causing an additional eighteen deaths and widespread damage, particularly to buildings already weakened by the May 20th earthquake. And again on June 3rd, 4th and 6th, aftershocks struck the region, causing panic among terrified people, who still don’t know if this incubus is going to continue. The damages of these earthquakes are terrible: 26 people died, and thousands are homeless, living in tents. The whole economy of the country was brought to its knees.
The “Hope for Emilia” team of volunteers is busy organizing this important event which we hope will touch the lives of those affected by the natural disaster in Emilia.

The grand opening of the “Hope for Emilia” Fashion Fair will take place on Sunday July 22. At this fair, each of the many talented designers supporting this worthy cause has agreed to offer an exclusive item. The full proceeds of the sales of the exclusive items will be donated to assist the citizens whose lives were affected by the earthquakes in Emilia. Fashion shows highlighting our designers’ exclusive creations are planned for July 29th and August 5th, respectively.

Also exciting is the Art Exhibition to take place beginning on August 3rd, at which artistic creations from the grid’s most accomplished artists will be on display and available for purchase.
Our event will be held at two sims which have been graciously donated to us by Alexandar Vargas, and we are delighted to have Setsuna Infinity providing the build. A LM of the sims will be provided on July 22nd, 2012.

With the patio doors open, I take my morning coffee out to the balcony to enjoy the gorgeously rising sun as it dances delightfully across the water, strewing diamond sparkles everywhere the light licks the undulating ocean. The entire show is orchestrated with the symphony of the waves and the majestic fly-by of the swooping pelicans. Looking below I see the occasional marsh hare, dark brown and furry, randomly munching grass and roots, the poor pauper gentlerabbit not realizing the value of the land he inhabits. The briny salt in the air calling to me, I wander into the house, put on a swimsuit , grab a coffee to go, tug along my ever present novel, a towel, sunscreen and wander down to the shore.
Opening my first suitcase, for my days on the beach I chose two bathing suits by Baiastice, “Panama” since it is very like something I wear in real life, so it brings me comfort and the gorgeous “shechy flower.” I thought this would be all for today, but then *SoliDea FoliEs* released the adorable “Pina Colada” and since I will probably imbibe this coconut-ty concoction during my vacation, perhaps I should playfully play the part! With a special thanks to Tiki Tattoo, their SIM is incredible, I now wander away for today, I hope you too will grab a swimsuit and hunker down in some tropical paradise in your corner of the world.
